Businesses throughout Perth and Kinross still have time to nominate their company’s shining lights as the deadline for this year’s prestigiou­s Business Star Awards looms.

Nomination­s for Perthshire Chamber’s glittering ‘ Back for the Future’ Business Star Awards are open until 5pm on Monday, November 1. The categories open for entries are: • Apprentice of the Year

• Most Promising New Business

• B e s t C ov i d R e s p o n s e a n d Reinventio­n

• Best Use of Social Media • Outstandin­g Young Business

• Excellence in Customer Service • Community Hero (group) • Community Hero (individual) • Outstandin­g Achievemen­t (group and individual).

Short- listed finalists will then be judged and the winners announced at the event hosted by Crieff Hydro Hotel on Friday, November 19.

Vicki Unite is the chief executive of Perthshire Chamber, which was formerly known as Perthshire Chamber of Commerce.

She said: “People approach entering awards in different ways – some are very structured and factual, and others tell a wonderful story.

“Apart from the business informatio­n we request, for verificati­on and legitimacy, we only ask for up to 750 words, why you believe that you, your business, nominated group or individual deserve to win this award. Simple as that.“

Tickets for members are priced at £85 plus VAT per person, or £600 plus VAT for a table of eight.

The prices for non-members are £95 plus VAT, or £700 plus VAT for a table of eight.

The nominated local business must be based in Perth and Kinross and should meet the category descriptio­n.
