Mountaineer shares his love for countryside at evening talk
Join Cameron mcNeish at birnam arts next month for an evening talking about how his love of the countryside developed and why people should all take an interest in its future.
Cameron is a scottish wilderness hiker, backpacker, mountaineer, and authority on outdoor pursuits.
he is best known as an author, broadcaster, magazine editor, lecturer and after dinner speaker, as well as being an adviser to various outdoor organisations.
The evening event is held on Wednesday, april 27 at birnam arts in Dunkeld and birnam, opening at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.
in the second half of the evening Cameron will be joined by his long-time television producer Richard else for a Q&a session after which there will be time for questions from the audience.
Tickets are £13, with proceeds going to Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, for which Cameron is patron.
The event is sponsored by Dunkeld house hotel.
Cameron said of the event:“i enjoy nothing more than sharing my love of the outdoors with everyone and encouraging people to look after it.
“Perthshire has some particularly stunning countryside, so holding the event here and in support of Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust is very apt. “i look forward to seeing everyone.”
This event is happening as part of PKCT’s 25th anniversary year, for which Cameron has already planted a silver birch for the silver jubilee of the charity.
PKCT also launched a Friends scheme for everyone to help support the work it does in the Perthshire countryside.
