Holden makes hispoint ondraws

-

Luncarty manager Robbie Holden is keen for his side to turn more league draws into wins as the season heats up.

The Bleachers have shared Conference B points on six occasions this term - the joint most in the division.

Holden realises, in order to climb the standings, solitary points are going to hinder progress.

Tomorrow afternoon Peebles Rovers visit Brownlands Park for a 2.30pm kick-off.

“Peebles carry an attacking threat,” said Holden. “They are an odd team in that they can be very dangerous but have some surprising results.

“We will go in fully respecting the attacking threat they have.

“We haven’t been consistent enough, primarily with draws so it’s now about finishing as high as we can and seeing where that takes us at the end of the season.”

Luncarty enter the fixture with confidence after a great 2-0 League Cup group win against Dalkeith Thistle last weekend.

Scott Sutherland and Ben Scarborough netted the goals.

“The team dominated the game early on,” Holden said.

“We were in control of the middle of the park and got a lot of joy in wide areas.

“After we scored it was a case of getting the second and Ben did that brilliantly.

“After that they had a couple of red cards and we saw the game out comfortably.

“We were pleased because a two-goal lead slipped last week and Dalkeith were off the back of beating Linlithgow and drawing with Blackburn.”

Kinnoull are in League Cup Group L action tomorrow and welcome Easthouses Lily to Tulloch Park. Kick-off for that one is 2.30pm.
