NEWBURGH WHINNYBANK CAT SANCTUARY

Sue at Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary has some elderly cats urgently in need of homes. They will soon be listed on our website – it takes time to get them all vetchecked and treated if needed.

We currently have three litters of domestic kittens (they will be on our website when ready for homing), which is unusual for this time of year as we usually get called out for feral litters that are beyond taming. Sue still has a group of five young cats from last year’s glut of feral kittens, which are coming up to a year old now. She would like them to be homed together as they are so well bonded, to a steading or stables. They love the Costco biscuits, which Sue will be able to help with the cost of if needed.

We were all very sad to hear that longtime Whinnybank supporter, Sheila Penman of Gateside, passed away

recently. We will miss her visits to our Auchtermuchty shop as she was so lovely and had a great sense of humour. Our thoughts are with her family. To help the sanctuary call 01337 840414.

Descriptions of many Provosts of Perth were given and many characteristics of their time in office were explained. The wide variety of council commitments demonstrated demanding requirements and many responsibilities. Relationships with councillors from all parties were very important and descriptions of experiences were explained with humour.
