GROUP A RIVALS GERMANY
LET’S get the bad news out of the way.
Those pesky Germans appear to have timed their run to these finals to perfection under recently appointed boss
Julian Nagelsmann.
The former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig boss was headhunted as an emergency measure last year when Hansi Flick was floundering horribly.
Nagelsmann has made huge strides in six games, helped in no small part by convincing Toni Kroos to come out of international retirement.
The Real Madrid veteran returned for warm-up wins over France plus the Dutch and claimed an assist within seven seconds when he set up Florian Wirtz for the fastest goal in Germany’s history.
They’re looking worryingly strong.
