We were very concerned to hear about Lucy Fowler’s experience. The product used was St Tropez Instant Wash Off Face & Body Spray. We conducted a full consumer recall of this product in 2013.

As a safety precaution, consumers should not buy St Tropez Instant Wash Off Face & Body Spray if they see it offered for sale.

We take the health and safety of our consumers very seriously, and we have begun an investigation to establish exactly how Lucy was able to purchase the product.

As far as we are aware, this is an isolated incident.

Only two products were recalled: Light/medium (item code 16-48-179) and Medium/ Dark (16-48-187).

No other St Tropez products are affected.
