Saying it with a note
Saying thank you is a British tradition, and nothing quite beats the feeling of receiving a thank you note. Receiving a handwritten note is one of the most powerful ways of saying thank you, next to being thanked in person, but this
well-loved art seems to be dying out due to the rise of messaging apps. Research from specialist insurer Ecclesiastical reveals that while writing a note of thanks makes more than half of Brits happy, only 44% of 18 to 24-year-olds choose to write a note of thanks these days. Many of them say they feel embarrassed by their handwriting, are not confident with their spelling, and simply just don’t know what to write. But it’s simple – writing a note of thanks shows appreciation beyond measure, which is something we can’t put a price on.
