At the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, you’ll get a chance to walk through the same hangars and buildings as those who served on the RAF. See aircraft take to the skies from the same airfield from which Spitfires flew, and get up close to over a century of aviation with hundreds of aircraft on display. Take a close look at the British Supermarine Spitfire, a fighter plane that flew 57 combat missions during the Battle of Britain, and the Harrier Jet, nicknamed the ‘jump jet’. Don’t miss the Battle of Britain Air Show on 22 and 23 September, where you’ll be left in awe by the Red Arrows, a Typhoon FGR4 and the famous Avro Lancaster.
