The VAMPIRE of Dusseldorf

From 1913, Peter Kurten slit the throats of nine victims and drank their blood for sexual kick. Kurten slaughtered in the German city of Dusseldorf and used various methods so police thought there were multiple killers. When caught, Kurten claimed to have drunk so much blood after one murder he was physically ill. Even when he was executed by guillotine in 1931, blood was his priority. His last words were: ‘After my head is chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from the stump of my neck? That would be the pleasure to end all pleasures.’
