FÊTE DU CITRON
Every year in Menton, France, the Fête du Citron, or Lemon Festival, sees over 300 professionals making giant sculptures out of 145 tonnes of citrus fruits, drawing over 230,000 visitors. From 16 February to 3 March, floral processions will be organised on the Promenade du Soleil, with a mixture of citrusthemed floats, confetti, dancers and folk groups. During the festival, the Biovès Gardens are clad with citrus fruit, forming temporary sculptures in dazzling yellow and orange shades – some even reach heights of 10m!
