Don’t let it happen to you

Pick Me Up! Special - - Real Life -

All new blinds fitted in UK homes after 2014 must come with a safety device, but the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA), recommends following these guidelines, too:

Don’t place a child’s cot, bed, playpen or highchair anywhere near a window.

Pull-cords on curtains and old blinds should be kept short and well out of reach.

Don’t hang toys or objects that could be a strangling hazard in or near your child’s cot or bed.
