Hirschsprung’s disease is a rare disorder in which a section of bowel fails to move stool along, causing severe constipation. It’s due to missing nerve cells. Common symptoms include an inability to pass stools, a swollen tummy and vomiting green fluid. Surgery is needed to remove the affected section of bowel and to connect the healthy parts.
