1. Bolehill Aerial Scenic Point

If you’re a sunset lover, we’ve got the perfect place for you. On the far edge of Crookes lies the Bolehill Recreation Ground, and hidden within it all, is the fantastic Bole Hills Aerial Scenic Point! Just high enough and pointing directly towards the wonderous hills of Sheffield, this hidden spot allows for the perfect view of the sunset as the sun draws over the horizon line. Illuminati­ng the skies in gorgeous colours you can never forget.

2. The Botanical Gardens

It’ll only take 20 minutes on foot from the City Centre to find yourself in the wellmainta­ined oasis with 5,000 species of exotic plants, calming water features and several winding paths for you to enjoy it all.

There are 18 different garden areas based on geographic­al or botanical themes ensuring that there is something for everyone. If it wasn’t gorgeous enough already, the open property even features a restored Victorian hothouse which is especially beautiful to visit during the tempered winters.

TOP TIP: Check out the preserved fossil of a Lepidodend­ron stump in the Evolution Garden – it’s estimated to be over 312 million years old!

3. Bamford Edge

Located in the heart of the Peak District is Bamford Edge, sits a rocky overhang that takes quite a climb to get to. But once you do, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the valley and reservoirs. It’s a truly magnificen­t way to see the gorgeous expanse of the Peak District with a variety of trails nearby.

For beautiful pictures, try visiting this spot during the winter, just be careful with how close you get to the edge.
