Crohn’s disease causes inflammation of the digestive system. Symptoms vary but often include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, fatigue, fever, weight loss and anaemia. The condition affects at least 115,000 people in the UK, but the exact cause remains unknown. Treatment cannot cure it, but aims to reduce the symptoms.
