Trolley rotten trick From holiday heisters
He left with a trolley full of Barbie bounty
For two men in Florida, it seems the stress and cost of the holiday season all became too much back in 2014…
While out shopping for a Barbie Dream House and Barbie car in a supermarket, one of the men, Gerard Dupree, then 27, fell to the floor suffering a heart attack.
But it wasn’t the whopping $369 (around £300) bill for his shopping that caused it. In fact, all wasn’t what it seemed… As Dupree lay on the floor, his friend Tarus Scott, then 30, swiftly left the shop with the trolley full of Barbie bounty.
Dupree then jumped up, seemingly fine.
His ‘ heart attack,’ had just been a distraction to steal the toys.
But luck was not with the larcenous pair – the whole thing was caught on CCTV and they were later charged with theft.
