One You’re in a million!
This week we’re saying thanks a bunch to Margaret Bain, 74, from Paisley. Her daughter Susanne, 47, wrote to say...
Mum and I have always been close. She’s helped me through many tough times, including recently when I developed an eating disorder.
In November 2017,
I’d become addicted to making myself sick.
My weight dropped rapidly and I shrunk from a size 12 to a size 4.
That’s when I was diagnosed with bulimia.
Telling Mum, I was terrified. But I needn’t have been…
She hugged me tight and looked after me. She’d make sure I would eat and stay with me so I didn’t throw up afterwards.
Since my diagnosis, she’s been my saving grace.
She’s always a phone call away when I need her. I never need to say anything because she just knows when I’m having a bad day.
We chat day and night and I know that she will always be there no matter what.
She’s also great with my son Scott.
I’m so thankful to have her fighting my corner every day.
Mum was there for me when I hit rock bottom
