I won £1,000 on my first game!

We enjoyed a lovely sunshine break with my surprise jackpot win, says Laura Thomas, 26, from Birmingham…

Pick Me Up! - - PROMOTION -

Sitting on the sofa, I glanced at the clock. Almost 10pm. Too early for me to go bed. But my partner Dean, 27, was about to nod off. I had some rare time to relax, so I got out my laptop.

I’d joined Pick Me Up! Bingo that day after hearing about all the fun games and people’s wins.

There were games with 75 and 90-ball rooms and ticket prices from 1p.

Sapphire Bingo caught my eye, as it was like being at a bingo hall from my sofa!

I spent £6 on 60 tickets for

a Link Game with a Full House of £1,000.

One by one, my numbers rolled in and before I knew it… I’ve just one number left to

win, I giggled to myself.

I never thought that it’d come up, though, after all

I’d only just started playing.

Another two numbers got called but they weren’t mine.

‘ Oh well,’ I thought, ‘I’m just in it for the fun anyway.’

But I looked back, and a third and final number was being called.

It was my number. I’d won! Within seconds, the win began to sink in. I wanted to share the good news.

Dean looked so cute, snoring happily. He’d nodded off, but I shook him awake anyway.

‘I won!’ I beamed and he looked at me bleary-eyed.

I thrust the computer at him and his eyes widened. ‘Blimey,’ he said.

I barely slept that night, as I was too excited thinking about what to spend the money on.

‘How about a holiday somewhere?’ I suggested to Dean the next day.

‘That would be fantastic,’ he agreed.

So we booked a trip to Gran Canaria for seven nights in May this year.

We had the most amazing time. And it was definitely a great way to share my Pick Me Up! Bingo win.

I do still play for fun, but it’s amazing to think that I won on my first game.

And, if I did, then who knows, you might , too!

We had such a grand time in Gran Canaria!
