Cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy refers to a group of lifelong disorders affecting co-ordination and movement. It can be caused by the brain being damaged or not developing properly before, during or after birth. Symptoms can include developmental milestone delays, muscle weakness, random movements, swallowing problems and learning disabilities. There’s no cure, but treatment can ease symptoms and help patients to live independently.
