This week: New mascaras for every lash look

-

Maybelline Snapscara, £7.99

Maybelline rules the high-street mascara aisle, but what’s this ‘snap’ all about? Timesaving, that’s what! The waxfree formula is so smooth it can be loaded on in a jiffy without clumping, then washes off with warm water and a cotton pad as quick as a finger click.

W7 It’s Brown, £5.95

Many people find brown mascara as unappealing as blue eyeshadow, but actually, if you have fair skin, pale eyes or just want an easy day look, chocolate shades give the definition of black but can look a bit fresher. Tempted? Give it a whirl with this bargain by W7 – at this price you’ve got nothing to lose.

Revlon Volumazing, £8.99

The name says it all. This will transform the shortest, fairest, skinniest set of lashes into something resembling a set of eyelash extensions. Shimmy the wand from side to side as you apply to knock out any clumps and you’re good to go.

Rimmel Wonder’fully Real, £7.99

Fibre mascaras are the business for adding va-va-voom length without smearing all over your lids as the day wears on. The 4mm fibres in this build up to some pretty major flutter, so it’s possibly more suited to night than everyday wear.

Max Factor Volume Infusion, £12.99

When you think about it, we expect a lot of our lashes – longer, darker, bigger, bolder – without really showing them any love in return. This mascara aims to change that, offering the fat, full look you’d expect from Max Factor but with strengthening keratin and an extragentle fibre wand.

Lacura Too Legit! £5.99

Looks a bit familiar, doesn’t it? This bargain dupe not only shares its appearance with a certain bestseller three times the price, but it also has the same chunky, charcoalblack, false-lash effect. It’s not quite as budge-proof, though, so try dusting some loose powder on your eyelids if you’re prone to smudges.

L’oreal Paris Unlimited Pro Volume Bendable, £10.99

One for real mascara obsessives, this clever wand flicks into a right angle so you can wave and wiggle it into every millimetre of your lash line. So you can finally coat every last lash – right down to the tiny corner ones you probably don’t realise are there. A tad timeconsuming, yes, but so worth it.

Gosh Catchy Eyes, £8.99

We love this fun retro-pink tube, which looks like something Frenchie from

Grease would pull out of her handbag. Inside, a curved wand with spiky rubber bristles picks up a small amount of formula and separates lashes as it goes for a pretty curl.
