During the 1980’s, snooker was a national obsession that attracted more attention than even football. Millions of us would watch men in tight suits, potting multi coloured balls and the players became celebrities.

This three-part documentary series, produced by Louis Theroux, celebrates the golden age of snooker, and features the sporting heroes who rose from working-class backgrounds to become household names. With fame came pressures, addictions, rivalries and plenty of drama. Players such a Steve Davis and Jimmy White reflect on a remarkable era.
