It’s Xmas come early!

November is a brilliant time of year for me. It’s when all the family and friends I’ve signed up to Park Christmas Savings get their gift cards and vouchers. The look on their faces is magic when they realise how putting that little bit of money aside every week means they can sort all their Christmas presents with no stress, and no need to get into debt.

Being able to make Christmas special for your family can make a real difference. Last year, I gave a voucher to a man who’d been out of work for six months after an accident. He was over the moon and said I’d made his Christmas. I stood on his doorstep in tears – after a tough year, it was just the lift he needed.

I’ve been a Park agent for 12 years and I have a community of around 100 Park savers, most of them family, friends and neighbours. We’re in touch with one another on a Facebook page I created and at this time of year, they are always so grateful that they planned ahead.

They send me lovely messages, some give me chocolates and wine to say thanks. I tell them that they’re the ones who put the money aside but they always say they’d have spent it without me and Park to keep it safe for them.

It gets a bit busy with people wanting to sign up in November. They see all their friends who do Park talking about what they can afford to buy and wish they’d joined. It’s been amazing for me – I was Park’s top UK agent last year and got a £1,500 bonus on top of my commission. I’m hoping to win it this year too but what’s really rewarding is knowing I’ve helped make Christmas special for other families.
