Pick Me Up!

LEE AND LEANNE

-

Thrillseeking couple Lee Churchill and Leanne Smith, recently tied the knot at Fantasy Island, Skegness.

The couple, who intended to get married in Las Vegas before Covid, decided to swap the City of Sin for ‘Skeg-vegas’, choosing their favourite theme park to host their wedding.

1. HAVE YOU BOTH ALWAYS LOVED ROLLERCOASTERS AND WHY?

We do love rollercoasters and we go on them as much as we can!

However, it was just our love of Fantasy Island itself that drew us to get married there.

The place always has a magical feel when we come, and we couldn’t think of anywhere better to spend our special day.

2. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO GET MARRIED AT A THEME PARK?

We have been coming to Fantasy Island since we were kids, before we even met, so the place is really special to us.

We wanted to get married in Las Vegas, but had to cancel due to Covid, so we thought what better than Skeg-vegas itself!

We saw a Facebook post asking if anyone had ever got married there and we jumped at the opportunity.

3. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY?

Our favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time.

The venue was beautiful with candles all the way down the aisle – it was an amazing feeling to experience with all our friends and family there with us. We also loved going on our first ride together as a

married couple.

4. HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET? DID YOU BOND OVER YOUR LOVE OF THEME PARKS?

We met in a local pub, which is not very exciting!

We had so much in common and growing up and visiting Fantasy Island since we were children, were just one of the many things that brought us closer together.

5. WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT YOUR FUTURE TOGETHER?

We can’t wait for all the memories we’re going to make together as a married couple.

As you can tell by our choice in wedding venue we have a real sense of adventure, so we know our married life is going to be fun-filled and packed with adventures.
