1. What inspired you to set up Awesome Botanical?

My story starts at the dining room table in

2020 – I had nothing but passion and a dream to create the most awesome self-care products.

Plunged into lockdown, like many others I was struggling and my anxiety was sky-rocketing. I wanted self-care products that were scented using only essential oils that were bright and colourful in a dreary world and made me feel good about myself.

I haven’t stopped formulating since!

2. What processes do you go through when coming up with ideas?

I research my idea, go through the ingredients, and see which ones help the specific problem I’m trying to solve.

I then create a product and test it on family and friends, for example my lip balm went through five versions before we were all happy with the final version and it came to market.

I decide what makes the cut based on the feedback that I get on the product I have created.

3. What is your favourite product or scent and why?

My favourite product is the Sweet Orange Whipped Soap. It’s my go-to product for a morning shower.

I love how uplifted it makes me feel – as the essential oils rise up in the steam, I start the day feeling energised.

A small amount goes such a long way, and my top tip is using my whipped soaps for shaving – it’s the closest shave and gives you the softest skin afterwards.

4. What products would you recommend for anyone suffering with dry winter skin?

5. Do you have any exciting releases in the works for the 2024?

Having become a mum in 2023, I have been working on products which have helped me with various issues along the way – some of which I was using when I was pregnant and others I am working on now in the post-partum phase.

Once I am happy, I will be looking to launch these in 2024.
