Switching banks can sound like a confusing process. But did you know that after you’ve made the switch, you can reap the rewards, too?

Here are some of the best deals we’ve found...

1. Santander

When you switch to Santander, you can get 1% cashback on your household bills when you set up your direct debits. That’s up to £10 a month for six months on cashback, which includes council tax, energy and water bills, phone bills, broadband and paid-for TV packages.

Plus, you can get 1% cashback at supermarke­ts when doing your weekly shop and filling up your petrol tank.

2. First Direct

First Direct are offering new customers £175 in cash plus a 7% fixed interest rate on their regular saver account, on up to £300 a month. Plus, you can even have a little extra financial stability, as First Direct will offer you a £250 overdraft with 0% interest when you switch.

To receive your cash bonus, you must pay a minimum of £1,000 into your new account within three months.

The offer is only eligible for new customers who have not had a HSBC account on or after 1 January 2020. 3. The Co-operative Bank

Earn £100 in cash when you switch to The Co-operative Bank’s Standard Current Account. Plus, you can earn an extra £50 when you save at least £25.

To redeem, you must pay at least £1,000 into your new Standard Current Account, make at least five debit card transactio­ns, set up The Co-operative Bank online banking and at least two direct debits within 30 days.

4. TSB

If you switch and stay with TSB, you can earn up to £185. Plus, you can earn up to £10 cashback for six months if you make 20 debit card payments every month.

To redeem, switch to a Spend and Save TSB account from another provider. Then set up at least two direct debits, use your debit card once and log into the TSB banking app before 15 March. This offer is eligible for those who haven’t had a TSB bonus since 1 October 2022.
