What a blunder!
The CAA has made a big error on the latest chart; RMB EX-RAF Chivenor is now shown as a ‘civil airfield with limited or no facilities’. In fact, it is a disused airfield and a high security Royal Marine Barracks. Anyone trying to land there is liable to be shot at —we kid you not!
A phone call from them not long ago made their position very clear: upon seeing an aircraft flying close to their runway, they are ready to shoot first and ask questions later. Be warned. Do not attempt to land there.
CAA, you have a lot to answer! How many cartographers did it take to make all these mistakes and how many have got the sack?
