Euro­pean de­liv­er­ies of the Jet Ranger X promised for early in the New Year af­ter EASA cer­ti­fies Bell’s new light he­li­copter

In Novem­ber Bell He­li­copter signed an agree­ment with Reign­wood In­ter­na­tional In­vest­ment Group for the sale of an ad­di­tional fifty Bell 505 Jet Ranger Xs, and for Reign­wood to act as the ex­clu­sive re­seller for the he­li­copter in China and to es­tab­lish a ded­i­cated de­liv­ery and main­te­nance cen­tre there. The new con­tract fol­lows pre­vi­ous pur­chase agree­ments signed with Reign­wood ear­lier in 2017 for sixty Bell 505s des­tined for Chi­nese cus­tomers.

Bell He­li­copter Pres­i­dent and Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Mitch Sny­der com­mented, “Be­tween [the pre­vi­ous] Shaanxi He­li­copter or­der for 100 Bell 407GXPS and Reign­wood’s pur­chase agree­ments for 110 Model 505s, de­mand for Bell he­li­copters in China has surged this year.”

The Je­tranger X has also re­cently been cer­ti­fied by EASA, and first de­liv­er­ies to Europe are ex­pected early in the New Year. The he­li­copter is now ap­proved in Ar­gentina, Aus­tralia, Chile, Gu­atemala, In­done­sia, Ja­pan, Mex­ico, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea and the USA.
