Pilot - - PILOT NOTES -

The success of last year’s Vintage Aerobatic World Championships (see competitor Barry Tempest’s report in October’s ‘ Pilot Notes’) has prompted the organisers to expand the categories of eligible aircraft types for the 2018 event, which takes place at Skive Airport, Denmark from 16-19 August, VAWC founder Søren Dolriis tells us. In addition to Vintage aircraft (built pre-1955) ‘Classics’ (types built 1955-1970) and ‘Replicas’ (plans built aerobatics types) will now be able to compete. Three new flight programmes are planned: Looping The Loop, Dancing the Cloverleaf, and Rolling the Circle.
