Coventry-based Atlantic Airways has merged with West Air Sweden to become West Atlantic UK. It specialises in ad hoc charters of hazardous materials and oil spill dispersant spraying, and adds a further Boeing 737, G-NPTA, to its fleet. Coincidentally, a company called International Spray Solutions has also registered a Boeing 737 as G-CKUZ. As the summer approaches, three airlines take delivery of Boeing Dreamliners: G-CKWD for Norwegian Air, G-VNYL for Virgin Atlantic, and G-TUIM for Tui, which also recalls six of its Boeing 737s from winter in Canada. Meanwhile, easyjet’s Airbuses continue their exodus to the Austrian register and the slow dispersal of defunct carrier Monarch’s fleet sees Airbus A321s G-OZBM and G-ZBAK transferred to Bermuda.
