First Airbus H145s delivered to Swiss Air-rescue
Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first two of a total of six H145 helicopters ordered by Swiss AirRescue Rega. These will replace its existing fleet of EC145S, which will be phased out by mid-2019. Over a fifteen-year period the EC145S have provided airborne medical assistance to some 60,000 patients. The first H145 is expected to enter service at Bern in October. The worldwide fleet of more than 200 H145s has logged more than 100,000 flight hours.
Airbus has also delivered the fifth and final H135 that will be used by the
Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) in Bückeburg for initial and recurrent pilot training. These new H135s join fourteen others from the EC135/H135 family that have been in service since 2000, and have jointly accumulated more than 100,000 flight hours
