TAG Farnborough ‘carbon neutral’?

Pilot - - AIRMAIL -

I must admit I was highly amused by TAG Farnborough’s desperate attempts to ingratiate itself by declaring itself ‘carbon neutral’ ( Pilot August 2018). This claim appears to disregard the thousands of tons of CO 2 that is and will be generated by the bizjets flying in and out of the airfield transporting the antisocial rich and famous.

It would be an interesting exercise to look at the number of occupied vs unoccupied passenger seats on all movements into or out of TAG Farnborough to truly quantify the environmental travesty that biz jets represent. All the more outrageous given the recent CAA ruling on Farnborough airspace allowing these few to hijack large areas of previously open airspace for their almost exclusive benefit.
