Tex­tron Avi­a­tion and frac­tional own­er­ship op­er­a­tor Net­jets have signed op­tions to pur­chase up to 175 Cessna Ci­ta­tion Lon­gi­tudes and up to 150 Ci­ta­tion Hemi­sphere busi­ness jets, Net­jets thus be­com­ing launch cus­tomer for the lat­ter – now-in-de­vel­op­ment-again – model fol­low­ing a tem­po­rary halt last April due to prob­lems with its Safran Sil­ver­crest tur­bo­fans. Be­gin­ning with the SII in 1984, Net­jets has owned and op­er­ated nearly 500 Ci­ta­tions, in­clud­ing the Lat­i­tude, Sov­er­eign, Ex­cel/xls and Ci­ta­tion X, and this lat­est agree­ment could in­crease its fleet to more than 800 air­craft over the next ten-to-fif­teen years.
