Netjets signs options for up to 175 Citation Longitudes and 150 Hemisphere business jets, being launch customer for the latter
... very big. Textron Aviation and fractional ownership operator Netjets have signed options to purchase up to 175 Cessna Citation Longitudes and up to 150 Citation Hemisphere business jets, Netjets thus becoming launch customer for the latter – now-in-development-again – model following a temporary halt last April due to problems with its Safran Silvercrest turbofans. Beginning with the SII in 1984, Netjets has owned and operated nearly 500 Citations, including the Latitude, Sovereign, Excel/xls and Citation X, and this latest agreement could increase its fleet to more than 800 aircraft over the next ten-to-fifteen years.
