So says Evgeny Ka­banov of AOPARus­sia, who re­ports that re­cent im­prove­ments in for­eign air­craft flight sup­port and pro­ce­dures will make pi­lots wel­come to visit the coun­try this sum­mer.

“With gained ex­pe­ri­ence, AOPARus­sia is con­fi­dent that for­eign VFR and IFR air­craft can fly to Rus­sia, or through Rus­sia from west to east,” he says. “100LL and Jet A-1 fu­els are avail­able in se­lected en­try air­ports, land­ing and fu­elling is pos­si­ble on do­mes­tic Ga-friendly air­fields, but please re­mem­ber that each flight needs a prior en­try and route­ing per­mit, so make sure you ap­ply at least two weeks in ad­vance.
