Playing in the air
Airplay Aviation, based at Sutton Meadows, Cambridgeshire, is run by David Broom, the current World Air Games Microlight Champion. The company was set up two years ago to distribute the Italian Eurofly range and registers two this month. G-CFLO is a Snake flexwing selfpropelled hang glider and conforms to the new sub-70kg category, which also requires a stall speed of less than twenty knots calibrated airspeed. Owners do not need any pilot’s licence or even any training, although the company offers it free of charge. The second, G-MFUX, is a Minifox fixed-wing Single Seat Deregulated microlight. The highwing pod-and-boom pusher has foldable wings and is available as a kit or factory-built.
