Sea King a new home

Pilot - - NEWREGS -

Royal Air Force Westland Sea King XZ597 was built in 1978 and served around the world, including the Falkland Islands, latterly in the yellow RAF Search and Rescue colours around our coastline. One of the last serving examples, it was auctioned off in 2017 and acquired by Historic Helicopters, who also own a Westland Whirlwind and Wessex in flyable condition. The Sea King has now been registered G-SKNG to Lift West, a forklift truck firm which has an associated helicopter operation offering air experience flights, following on to Private Pilot Licence training. Whether any commercial use can be found for the Sea King or if it will be on the airshow circuit remains to be seen.

Robinson Raven G-TCAL has been re-registered as G-TUNL
