DART'S Robinson R66 emergency float system has achieved EASA approval, following similar for the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X

DART Aerospace’s Robinson R66 Emergency Float System has been approved by EASA. The system has multiple air-holding chambers of lightweight urethane-coated fabric, and an aluminium, carbonfibre and fibreglass wrap to reduce the risk of corrosion. The kit comprises fore and aft floats, reservoir, skid extensions and installation hardware.

“Achieving the European approval for this kit is a big deal for DART,” said company VicePresident of Commercial Operations Steve Ghaleb. “The DART commercial team has been receiving lots of interest from the European R66 community for an aftermarket option to install emergency floats, and we are happy to now be able to service that demand.”

Earlier this year the company received EASA approval for installation of an emergency float system on the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. dartaerospace.com
