Air­bus Cor­po­rate He­li­copters all at sea

Air­bus Cor­po­rate He­li­copters has de­liv­ered the first of two ACH145S to an ex­ist­ing pri­vate cus­tomer as the first step in a fleet re­newal pro­gramme. They will pri­mar­ily be flown from su­pery­achts in the Mediter­ranean and Caribbean. Isle of Man­based Lu­vi­air will man­age and op­er­ate the ACH145S, the sec­ond of which will be de­liv­ered in the fi­nal quar­ter of this year, fol­lowed by an ACH160, which will be used for on­shore trans­port. Lu­vi­air has op­er­ated a fleet of VIP Air­bus he­li­copters for al­most twenty years from bases in London, the Mediter­ranean, Caribbean and aboard some of the largest su­pery­achts. The ACH145S fea­ture a be­spoke cabin in­te­rior and ex­te­rior liv­ery de­signed by London-based Har­ri­son Eids­gaard.

Air­bus has now taken or­ders for eleven ACH160S, in­clud­ing four for UK cus­tomers. It ex­pects to gain EASA cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for this model by the end of 2019, with first cus­tomer de­liv­er­ies about a year later.
