No fewer than three sets of Messerschmitt Bf109 remains come to the register this month. In the early stages of restoration, all have been recovered from Russia. The most advanced is G-CLFI, werke nr 14798, a G version shot down in 1944 and discovered buried beneath snow fifty years later, which has been partially restored in Australia. G-CLFN, 109F 8347, force-landed near Leningrad in 1943, as did G-CLFU, an E S/N 7485. These two were sold to Charleston Aviation Services and have been worked on in Hungary.
