Pilatus PC-12 revealed

Pilot - - NOTES -

Pilatus unveiled a new PC-12 NGX model at October’s NBAA Convention, and had the first production aircraft on display at North Las Vegas Airport. The third-generation NGX has an improved engine, ‘smarter’ avionics and a completely redesigned cabin with larger windows.

Power comes from a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6E-67XP that features an electronic propeller and engine control system including Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), and boots the aircraft’s maximum speed to 290kt TAS. A new propeller low speed mode results in a significant reduction in cabin noise for improved passenger comfort. New rectangular windows, adapted from those in the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet, brighten the cabin, while a choice of six BMW Designworks’ interiors includes extremely light fully reclining passenger seats affording more headroom, and there’s an improved and quieter air-conditioning system. Scheduled maintenance intervals have been extended to 600 flight hours.

Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2020, at a base price of $4,390,000, and $5,369,000 for a typically equipped executive-configured aircraft.

The NGX is faster, quieter, more comfortable and boasts a brighter cabin
