Pooley's pilot’s diary 2020 www.pooleys.com (available from other retailers) £8.99 inc VAT

‘The perfect present for that pilot in your life,’ says Pooley’s in a claim we would fully endorse – I’ve been buying these diaries for many years, from the time they used to include information on wine vintages alongside the aviation stuff.

Bound in blue or red leatherette with sliver embossed lettering with silver corners, the 2020 edition continues with the full listing of UK airfields, sunrise to sunset tables, useful aviation data, and an addresses section. It also includes a mini logbook (which could be handy when travelling, away from home) and information on things such as Met Offices – Airmet, performance factors, MATZ – LARS, UK airspace and PPL privileges (which it might be useful to read!)

The format has been changed in recent years to one week to view on the left-hand page with a notes page on the right, which allows more space for notes on the day’s plans – or what you actually did. And it starts on Monday 25 November 2019 and ends on Sunday 3rd January 2021, so is useful well in advance of the New Year and pretty much from the time this edition of Pilot appears on the newsstands.
