Diamonds for Oman Aviation Academy
At the end of October, Oman Aviation Academy signed a contract for eight Diamond Aircraft −six single-engine DA40 NGS and two twin-engine Da42-vis −with an option to add sixteen more. The deal was signed by His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport Oman.
Capt Abdullah Murad Al Bulushi, CEO, Oman Aviation Academy said: “We are glad to… establish this longterm partnership with Diamond Aircraft. Oman Aviation Academy… aims to provide the highest standard of training for [both the] civil and military market. Our vision is to make OAA the future hub for aviation training in the region. This can only be achieved by providing the highest quality of training and using the best training equipment. Therefore, we selected Diamond’s DA40 NG and DA42-VI because they are equipped with state-ofthe-art technology and are recognised globally as two of the best aircraft types for pilot training.”
Deliveries of the first aircraft will start in the first quarter of 2020.
