MP backs safety culture
AN MP has said safety culture is vital to both patients and those who provide their care.
The point was stressed by Gosport MP and minister of state for care, Caroline Dinenage, as she spoke at the 2019 National Guardian Freedom to Speak Up Conference yesterday.
Months after the government announced further commitments to whistle blowers in the Learning from Gosport report, Ms Dinenage said at the conference: ‘ An organisation that is committed to Freedom to Speak Up is sending a clear message that their staff are valued and their leaders are committed to creating a workplace culture that supports the highest quality of care.’
