A MENTAL health charity has announced it has been commended for its excellent service.

Solent Mind has announced it has received the Advocacy Quality Performanc­e Mark. The award is made by the National Developmen­t Team for Inclusion (NDTi).

Sarah Byrne, head of advocacy service at Solent Mind, said: ‘Our advocates help people to access informatio­n and services to ensure they get the support they need and are treated fairly.

‘I am so proud that our work has been recognised. This has been a huge team effort and I would like to thank everyone who’s been involved.’
