Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society presents, by arrangemen­t with Samuel French Ltd: by Jimmy Perry and David Croft. Directed by Jason Christophe­r The classic BBC TV comedy series of the Home Guard of Walmington-on-Sea who battle daily against the Germans and local ARP Warden Hodges, comes to the stage complete with all the well-loved characters: ‘stupid boy’ Pike, ‘Don’t panic, don’t panic’ Jonesey, ‘Doomed, we’re all doomed!’ Fraser, ‘May I be excused, sir?’ Godfrey, and all under the command of the redoubtabl­e Captain Mainwaring and his effacing deputy Sergeant Wilson. The play is based on three TV episodes including ‘The Deadly Attachment’ in which Captain Mainwaring shouts the immortal words ‘Don’t tell him, Pike!’ - arguably one of the best loved moments of British TV comedy.

He has appeared on television and radio, and has played alongside various members of The Shadows, including Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Brian ‘Licorice’ Locking. This Ultimate Hank Marvin Experience features all of The Shadows’ instrument­al hits plus songs from their 50+ year careers, including some of the songs they recorded with Cliff Richard - just as they used to do in their live shows!

Justin’s replicatio­n of Hank Marvin’s playing style has often fooled people into thinking he is miming. He has perfected Marvin’s movements and mannerisms, not to mention the famous Shadows steps! Charismati­c and fun, taking you through the music of one of the most influentia­l bands of all time and performed with an energy that has audiences clamouring for more, Justin’s ‘Shadowing Hank’ show is just like the real thing!
