Officer’s leg crushed as car made off

A POLICEMAN was seriously injured after being struck by a car which sped toward him. The officer’s leg was crushed in his car door as a black VW Golf fled from the scene of an attempted burglary, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. The injured policeman tried to jump back inside his car but his leg was caught in the door which was struck as the Golf made off.
