Yellow bellies

-

Just over three years ago I voted with about 30-plus million people.

The vote was on whether I (Britain) wanted to stay in the EU, or, leave the EU.

The conclusion was a surprise to many as the populace decided that they wanted to leave the EU.

The difference was 16 million to 17 million – a clear winner to leave.

I am still waiting for that referendum vote to be acted upon.

Who runs our country? Gina Miller, parliament, judges or the elected government? Well! I can tell you that it is not the government.

For some time now, we have had all the smaller parties telling the largest party (the elected party) what they can and cannot do.

They have asked many times for a general election but now when they are calling the government all the names under the sun, are refusing to let the people decide who they want to govern our country.

They call themselves democrats. I call them undemocratic yellow bellies.

Am I the only one that is just about pig sick of all this messing about with the will of the people’s vote of June 2016? All the MPs who are doing their best to stop Brexit (because they think all 17 million people were wrong) will get their comeuppance in the next general election, that is why they are running scared and stopping the government holding an election. They have put themselves in a position that they cannot come back from. So, keep up the work of thwarting the government, it shows the people for what you are, a remainer parliament that won’t accept the will of the people you are supposed to represent. Bring on the general election, if you dare. Dave Walter Richmond Rise, Portchester
