Firefighters to the rescue

FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of an elderly woman who fell over while cooking.

One appliance from Gosport attended Ashley Court in Leesland Road at 5.30pm yesterday after a passer-by sounded the alarm before a fire broke out.

The pensioner was ‘shocked’ but did not need medical care.
