Google bus teaching tech skills in Gosport

-

A BUS deployed by Google to teach digital skills to residents will be stopping off in Gosport next week.

The company's Digital Garage Bus is a mobile version of its Digital Garage – a training centre it opened this month in Commercial Road, Portsmouth.

On November the bus will be at Basepoint in Aerodrome Road, before going to Gosport High Street on November 22.

Cllr Stephen Philpott, chairman of the council’s economic development board, said: ‘This is a great opportunity for Gosport people to get more confident online, transform their CV or improve their job prospects.

‘It is also ideal for local businesses looking to use the power of the internet to expand and improve their presence online.

‘The Google Digital Garage Bus is a unique place for helping people to develop new skills and grow their business.’

People can find out more by Googling 'Portsmouth digital garage'.
