Council set to repaint car parks in town

CAR parks across Havant are in need of a fresh lick of paint, according to the council.

Havant Borough Council has warned drivers to expect limited parking spaces while work is carried out to repaint parking spaces across the borough.

The work will start on Monday, November 18, and run through to November 30.

Car parks being repainted include North Street and Prince George Street in Havant, South Street in Emsworth and the Beachlands on Hayling Island.

Natalie Meagher, head of neighbourh­ood support at Havant Borough Council, said: ‘These planned works have been scheduled to ensure minimum disruption to motorists and we would kindly ask for their patience during this time.’

The council has advised that alternativ­e parking is available.

Work is also dependent on the weather and subject to change.
