Boost for volunteers

YOUNG volunteers from a first aid service have received a funding boost from shoppers.

The team from St John’s Ambulance in Havant has been given £500 from the town’s Waitrose store.

The Badger unit, whose members are aged between seven and 10, will use the money to fund new equipment for the youngsters.

Unit manager Katrina Fell said: ‘We’re extremely grateful to Waitrose and to all those shoppers who chose us as their favourite charity.’
