Treatment centre raises money for charity
STAFF and patients at a Portsmouth hospital have joined forces to raise money for Children In Need – and had a good laugh along the way.
A cake sale, duck race sweepstake, jar of sweets competition and more helped St Mary’s NHS Treatment centre to raise more than £150 yesterday.
Hospital director Penny Daniels said: ‘It was a great effort from everyone.
Even those clinicians who can’t join in the dress-down event put on the loudest socks, ties and headgear – the place was a riot of colour and fun.
‘I’m proud of my team.’
